My organization is considering implementing the External Training App on our platform. We are interested in hearing from others about their use case for adding External Training completions to the LMS.

If you use the external training app or are planning to use it, can you please share your use case and answer the following questions.

  1. How does your company benefit from having external training for employees stored in one system?
  2. Do you use any connectors to grab your employee's external training performed on an online platform, like LinkedIn, SkillSoft, Coursera, etc.
  3. Do you incentivize employees to report their external training?
  4. Was there anything you wished you knew about the App before implementing?

  1. How does your company benefit from having external training for employees stored in one system? we’re not strict about it but it’s great to see some external data for users who wish to add this information and track it all on a single learning profile.
  2. Do you use any connectors to grab your employee's external training performed on an online platform, like LinkedIn, SkillSoft, Coursera, etc. No, it’s mostly manual but you can use a CSV to import your records once you have the Institutions and courses set-up
  3. Do you incentivize employees to report their external training? No, this is optional for most
  4. Was there anything you wished you knew about the App before implementing? Not really, it’s an older app so the functionality is not up to par with the newer parts of Docebo...but it works OK...great if you just need to report on things too.
