Hi all,

I need users to access online training through an external website.  They need to register with the site, receive an email from this site which then enables users to click on the link provided to complete training.

Currently I have set up a course shell, added training material as a video which explains how to register and enrol - there is no way therefore of tracking enrolment and completion of the training (not compliance related so not essential)

Is there an alternative easier way users could access this by using LTI  or HTML page in the training material?  Very new to all this tech talk.

Thanks

Hi there,

The quick option is utilising a HTML Training Material.

You can use it quite simply by editing directly as it opens. You can add some verbiage inside the material itself along with a link to click out to the site necessary.

Please note that when the user opens the HTML training material this moves to Completed immediately, so they may see this pop-up on screen and assume they have completed the course without necessarily clicking the link within.

If you want the course to remain ‘In Progress’ you could also add an assignment training material after this. You can then request the user submits their Confirmation they have completed the training. Admins on the back-end can then validate assignments submitted and mark the assignment with a 100 which then closes out the course in full for the user.
