The Requirement:
- Create a Q&A widget that is associated with and isolated to a single page that contains multiple channels and catalogues, rather than a single channel on the page, or with all channels on the site.
The Challenge:
- When you create this widget, it wants to be associated with exactly 1 channel (which is no good for a page with multiple channels / catalogues), or with ALL channels (cluttering up everything).
The Solution:
- Create and publish an empty channel with the appropriate experts who can respond to questions.
- Don’t let anyone else upload to the channel.
- Add the channel to the target page.
- I put it last in the list
- Associate the Q&A widget with that empty channel.
- Disable the Show “View all” link checkbox.
- Because the channel is empty, it will never be visible to users.
- But the Q&A widget will still work.
