For our customers we are trying to create a learning journey based on 3 LP’s and we want to display this journey on the dashboard.

To do this, we enable the LP’s to be shown in a course catalogs and we create a course catalog that entails all the learning plans (LP level 1, LP level 2 and LP level 3).

This catalog is then added to the dashboard/page and the users are added to a group to make sure that they will see the catalog on their dashboard.

When the user completes “LP level 1”, he or she is automatically enrolled in “LP level 2” (groups and enrollment rules).

So far, so good but when an LP is shown in a catalogue, a user can always enroll into an LP, which disrupts the learning journey.

Does anybody have an idea how to prohibit the enrollment into an LP when an LP’s is shown in a course catalog

Hi @Johfra

My first thought would be to create three groups to mirror your 3 learning plans.  Other people may have different suggestions.

  • Group 1 will be auto-enrolled and have visibility of LP 1,
  • Group 2 will be auto-enrolled and have visibility of LP 2,
  • Group 3 will be auto-enrolled and have visibility of LP 3.

All new customers go into group 1 - which you’ll set with an automatic criteria to identify new customers.

Next, use a ‘Group/Learning Plan’ Auto-enrolment to assign group 1 to LP 1, like below.

this is a live Kennedys example

When you set the criteria for group 2 (and then 3) you could do this:

so as the customer completes the last course in LP1 they are enrollled on LP 2, and so on from Group 2 to Group  3.

You might considered if your courses in these LPs are set to been seen only by subscribed (enrolled) users.

How does that sound?
