Our version of Docebo hosts training for our dealers and their technicians. We initially enroll users for a dealer via a CSV spreadsheet, and ask them to appoint a power user. We place each dealer in a branch, and their power user has the responsibility to add new users and deactivate those who have moved on. As you might guess, dealers aren’t always motivated to keep up with their users, so over time we have accumulated a number of users who haven’t been deactivated. Can anyone here offer any suggestions or share a process that may have worked for you in the past to do user housekeeping? Many thanks for all help.

you might look at Automation rules that can deactivate users that haven't logged in x days...and they can be automatically expired...not sure if this would work in your case...

@LeslieKelley Hi, Leslie… I think we have a similar user audience. Our technicians come for initial certification, and then don’t need additional training for several years. We also have other platforms in the company (like our service activation platform) that the technicians user daily, and we log their data usage there. We periodically (like every 6-12 months) review the activation platform data, and then retire learning accounts based on that.

Maybe this makes sense but avoid deleting users where possible to support an audit trail.

Consider setting up a tombstone or safekeeping branch for accounts you have “audited away”

Thank you! I so appreciate your responses. Knowing what works for others who have blazed a trail before me is so helpful. Each of you provided helpful recommendations. I will be working on a plan and hopefully can report back with a successful method.
