What's your name? Terri Schoone

What's your job title and industry? LMS Administrator for Seek Now, a property services organization that encompasses property inspection services claims and virtual capture and real estate marketing.  Our roots started with Roof Inspections for insurance carriers, and continues to grow to include multiple data capture technology, including interior, exterior and roof inspections for insurance claims, photography, videography, drone photography/video, and 2D & 3D diagraming just to name a few.

How long have you used Docebo? Since March 23, 2020, my first day on the job with Seek Now, as well as the first day of quarantine lockdown.  Pretty memorable day.

Where are you located? Louisville, KY, USA.

In your opinion, what is the most underrated Docebo feature? Channels and Groups - being able to slice and dice our learners using skills, locations, abilities, etc.  Then allowing them to share and contribute through informal learning.  I saw @GingerG mention Custom User Fields, and you can’t slice and dice without them!  So I also agree Custom User Fields are pretty darn cool.

If you could have any one superpower, what would it be? Ability to multiply myself so I could get everything done!

What’s an interesting yet little-known fact about yourself? I have a unique combination of background experience, from 2 Masters degrees in Computer Science and Technology Education (and the saddest 3 letters: ABD), teaching undergrad and graduate courses in instructional technology, was the Dir. of Technology for a large school district, Dir of Institutional Effectiveness for a University, and was even a member of a dance and drama missionary team. I feel more comfortable in front of 1000 people presenting or training than I do in front of just 1-2 people.  And when I list all of my experience I look like I must be 100 years old, and I’m still under 30. OK, that’s a lie, but I’m definitely not 100! Honestly, I don’t even color my hair or have gray!

I can think of 2 features: The use of xAPI by external training content sending user status back to the LMS through the learning object. This provides an alternate for blended learning strategies using training content outside the LMS without parsing the LRS for the data. 2.)  The Quiz Wiziwig using GIFT files can be very creative and time saving.

@Richard.Harknett would love to know how Docebo’s implementation compares to the others!

Excited to be a part of this community and see that Docebo is getting it off the ground! We are in the middle of implementation, coming over from another vendor that we’ve been with for 9 years and very active customers with them (Community of Practice co-chair, Regional User Group host, conference speaker, Community Expert, etc). Needless to say we were invested with them, but after doing a due diligence vendor scan we found Docebo had the tools that will allow our business to continue to grow with a focus on customer delight.

  1. What's your name? Steven Infinger

  2. What's your job title and industry? Senior Business Systems Analyst at Blackbaud. We are a software company that offers training on our products to our customers. I work on our operations team helping to strategically manage our LMS.

  7. (optional) What’s an interesting yet little-known fact about yourself? I’m a strange mix of human traits.  I love video games, Star Trek and other nerdy things, but I also love going to the gym to strength training before hitting the town with friends.  I tend to keep the nerdy side of me to myself since I end up speaking a different language than the people around me.
