Hi all you wonderful people!

We are thinking about getting the new Docebo/MS Teams integration and I wanted to start a conversation with anyone that has feedback on the integration and maybe even some lessons learned.

I am sure our learning journey is similar to many of your stories, but basically we are always looking for ways to lessen the barriers to learning and since we use MS Teams throughout the day, this seems like a good option to help with that. But, as always, it has to have a ROI.

So, anyone have some thoughts on the topic?

Have you implemented it?
What measurements do you think should be tracked in order to prove a good ROI?
Lessons Learned to share?

Thanks in advance for your feedback!

I’d love to hear more about those who’ve implemented this too!

I have been chatting with @JeanetteMcVeigh in a few places about the plugin.

I think if you keep your other data static and measure “speed to complete your LPs courses” being shown on your dashboards, that could be a very interesting metric to show an improvement with “in the flow of work”.

I keep thinking that the MS Teams dashboards are going to help with onboarding programs as well as trickle types of curriculum.

In theory - if you can measure that? I think showing less friction is a reasonable metric to try to elaborate on with your org (maybe start by illustrating a single screen and how work is improved by leveraging two screens - showing that efficiency and less app bouncing = greater productivity).

Hi @Sarah Proctor

We’ve had the Teams app since launch and really like the configuration of the dashboard in our Docebo platform that will appear in Teams. It’s very straightforward to set up the tenancy pairing although you will need to work with your IT team on this. The app only works on one Microsoft tenancy for an organisation (we have five here) but we knew that going in.

You can present a defined list of courses (e.g. compliance for that month), share courses in other chats (I think) and search the full platform catalogue from Teams. This means a learner doesn’t really need to hit the main platform and can stay in Teams if they prefer.

However, we’ve hit a snag with LinkedIn Learning courses. They work fine in the Docebo app when you use the web version of Teams but not for the desktop Teams app. We get stuck in a perpetual authentication loop. As LiL is crucial to how we want to use the Teams app to promote our new competency framework (and we don’t want to use the Microsoft LiL integration), we can’t roll it out.

Docebo have identified the issue and are working with Microsoft to resolve it, hopefully soon. I would love to roll it out to our staff on our main services tenancy asap.

Other than engagement metrics (from Docebo and MS Teams), course completions and user feedback, we haven’t yet planned any sophisticated data capture around this, once implemented.

Thanks for calling this out @SimonNA. Would love to hear when this resolves as we have been on the fence about adding the line item (MS Teams) on our contract.

@SimonNA  - Thanks for sharing, we’ve faced the same issue using LinkedIn through the Docebo mobile app, we were stuck in a constant authentication loop and ended up liasing with Docebo & Linkedin, bringing them together on a call to share what was happening but then we unfortunately never had this resolved. Interested to hear the solution when you get there! We also have a challenge where we don’t use email as the primary ID for a user, which has made the MS teams add-on a no-go so far, but word on the street is that this is set to change in Q1 next year..

There’s an element of understanding if the new products released are truly functional across the variety of devices we use and access points…
