Hi ,i have a drop down with two custom options. I want to assign a default value during user creation.i am using /manage/v1/user API. and my additional field object is like this."additional_fields": {"11": "1"} i also tried with setting up the actual value "additional_fields": {"11": "my custom option 1"} how do i set a default value for a drop down

Finding the right API/webhook

Hi,While I am a decent LMS admin, I am a novice when it comes to automation. I always struggle getting started. Here’s a use case that I can’t seem to find “the first step” … after authentication, of course.Use case:Learner enrolls in LMS (self-registration) and completes an assigned learning plan. The whole learning plan must be complete before anything else can happen. When the learning plan is complete, authenticate to “System ID” Create a unique ID that combines 3Letters_UserUnique ID. Define the date 90-days out Send a post to generate a new ID (randomly generated number) with the unique ID + 90-day date “Snag” the resulting new ID Post that new ID back to the LMS account it came from into a designated Additional field.What do I do when I can’t find things in the api-browser or webhooks events that match the steps in my use case? Like, how does the automation get triggered when the LP is complete? Or how does it build this unique ID and date that I need to pass over to the other p

WooCommerce and ShipStation Connection

Hello everyone! Does anyone have any experience using the Shipstation Connector SDK? We have been able to use it successfully to fulfill shipments that come through infusion soft via api calls. Now we are integrating it via woocommerce for one of our resellers and the connection is there but the orders do not get posted on shipstation. Any one one know how to solve this issue?  Thank you in advance! PS. Loved Docebo Inspire 2023 and learned so much from everyone!

Docebo Connect to ADP - without ADP API Central

Hi everyone! We are currently trying to set up our Docebo Connect to ADP recipe, however we do not have the API Client ID or Client Secret without incurring additional costs on the ADP side. We were not made aware that these were required prior to purchasing Docebo Connect to ADP, has anyone else experienced this or found a workaround? Many thank for any advice or help!

SSO via API for Extended entreprise

Can we utilize API for Single Sign-On (SSO) for the Extended Enterprise?We are interested in granting access to one of our clients to implement SSO on a other application, and we would prefer to implement SSO through APIs without providing them access to the complete set of APIs.Our client can’t use SAML!Do any individuals encounter these scenarios?

Update the 'Batch Course Update (PUT /course/v1/courses/batch)' API call to include Additional Fields

The Batch Course Update API call only includes the bare minimum of options for LMS admins: {  "items": [    {      "id": 0,      "code": "string",      "title": "string",      "description": "string",      "language": "string",      "course_status": "published",      "category_id": 0,      "category_code": 0,      "thumbnail_id": 0,      "batch_item_id": "string"    }  ]} This should be updated to include Additional Fields so that this is not a manual process when updating courses.

API - How to Set Occupation And Skills For Multiple Users?

Hello Docebo experts :)I am having an issue with using the API to set occupation and skills for multiple users and would really appreciate your help. I don’t understand what the “canonical” variables stand for and where I can obtain them from. Here is my attempt, which sadly resulted in an error. vILT MS Teams setup - event not appearing in MS Teams calendar for instructor (or enrolled users)?

Hi - when setting up a vILT event with myself as the instructor (I am also a Superadmin), I am able to select our MS Teams instance without issue (our MS Teams account has been configured in our Docebo system).  However, it does not automatically create a meeting for the event in my MS Teams calendar which I was expecting it to do.  Should this occur?  I also tested the enrollment process as a user attending the vILT event (with someone else assigned as the instructor).  When enrolling on the session, i was also expecting an event to appear in my MS Teams calendar?? Can someone confirm what should be happening as I cant find any clear information in the documentation or university modules.

Docebo Connect - Outlook

Hi everyone,  we are using Docebo Connect  - Outlook integration for a couple of last month but recently we are experiencing some sync delays. After setting up ILT and events invitations are send to learners with a huge delay even 12 hours. Does any of you have/had similar problem and know what  can be done with it? I contacted Help Desk and our Account Manager on this but unfortunately they didn’t provide us wit any helpful information. The error we are getting is, this is displayed on the event level: Thank you in advance for any help.

How are you getting customer training data to their LMS?

We are a global software provider and as such provide free product training and certification to our customers. We are more and more frequently receiving requests to put training enrollment and completion data directly into our customers’ internal LMS platforms.  We have been providing scheduled reporting up until now but this is cumbersome for the customer’s LMS Admins and we have been asked for a number of different interfaces, some with SSO and API data access others with a myriad of other solutions including Power Automate and loading our content directly into their platform. We are unwilling to have two dozen different solutions to this issue which is, of course, complicated by the different capabilities of each customer’s LMS platform.  Has anyone out there facing this same issue come up with a solution or two at most that can meet this need?  I am thinking I might need to become an LTI provider to get there but I am not even sure that would do it, as I am not well versed in that

Support says "Out of Scope" for Initial SSO Config?

I’m configuring SSO via OIDC using Salesforce as the Identity Provider (as documented below).  I’ve run into a problem where the redirection to SF works, and upon redirecting back after successful authentication the Docebo UI says “Something Went Wrong.”     I’ve just had support come back to me and say that they can’t help me troubleshoot this super informative message and that I should work with my AM to engage PS.Our group is quite technical, and this seems like an unusually unhelpful response since the logging on what went wrong isn’t exposed in the UI.   Looking for a sanity check on anyone else who had problems with OIDC setup initially - did you get support or did you have to pay for a PS engagement?

Has anyone had issues with Docebo not processing payments correctly with Stripe?

We use ecommerce to sell both individual courses as well as subscriptions, and occasionally we will get purchases that come across on stripe successfully even sending receipts to the customer, but Docebo doesn’t update the transaction as successful. Instead leaving it in pending leaving our user with no training and money spent. Naturally they try again, which leads to them duplicate purchasing the same product usually to the same outcome. Then we get an angry or frustrated call and they refund all their purchases. Obviously this hurts our reputation, our support team, and generally makes us look bad. So my question, is why? It’s not all users, and I rarely have enough information to try and replicate it. There’s hardly any connection points or settings to even test on my end. Anyone know how to resolve this problem?

Discovering Inconsistency with Docebo API Object keys

I’ve been an Admin for a Docebo instance for a few months now and am learning my way around the APIs. One of my first challenges was to build a solution to update users in Docebo from our HR data. I had been running my solution for a week and validating that changes to users were being made via my python scripts. Then I started seeing users with first and last name changes that were not being updated by my code.My code was retrieving the existing users and comparing their fields against an employee id we store as an additional field. When the values in Docebo don’t match HR, my code simply changes the value of the Docebo user object using the field key. What I learned is that field keys for requesting users do not always match field keys when you need to update users.  From the API Documentation, I discovered that user’s first name and last name object keys are different for GETs than POSTs and PUTs.  GET User Object Response Keys  PUT/POST User Object Payload Keys  fi

Joining an MS Teams Meeting as an instructor

Hi,We have MS Teams working with Docebo, however, right now all participants, including instructors are joining as “learners”.In the documentation about MS Teams integration, there is a bullet in the Important Notes section at the end, which I’m having a hard time to understand:In order for a Docebo user to join a webinar as an instructor in Microsoft Teams, the account must be paired to an individual account in Azure. The Instructor of the session will be defined by the Azure-based Microsoft Teams account and the Microsoft Teams account created in Docebo will be used to launch the session.Can someone please explain this in plain English?What are the steps to have a person who is a course instructor join the Teams webinar or event with the right privileges?

New Zoom V3 Integration - Guidance Please!

I saw that we will be migrating from Zoom V2 to V3. Wondering if anyone out there has had experience moving from V1 to V2?We started off with V2 so this will be my first time doing this migration and would love to hear from folks who have previously done this. Anything particular to look out for?  Was it difficult? Confluence (Atlassian) Integration

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has successfully integrated Confluence resources into the Docebo platform and if they had any examples of best practices? We host a range of resources and documentation on Confluence and are looking for a way to push content directly into Docebo (or host from the lms) so that we don’t have to duplicate resources/workload. These are predominantly resources for people to view/browse rather than specific learning objects. If anyone has any examples of using the Docebo Connect tools/API to achieve this or simply the tools already available in the platform to host external resources from Confluence I’d be ever so grateful to view and learn about them! Tagging in some senior members for their input - thanks all! @lrodman @Bfarkas @gstager  Thanks

Slack Integration API permissions

Hi folks,Slack is very heavily used and preferred as a method of communication for most of our employees, so getting the Slack integration up and running is important for us. However, our security team won’t approve as the Docebo Slack integration asks for too much access (ie access to all private channels) and they weren’t comfortable allowing it. Is it possible in the next version of the Slack integration to allow for custom permissions or other way to manage access to our internal systems? This will allow us to take advantage of this feature and make the lives of our employees (and L&D) much easier. Thanks,Kirk

Automatically Import Internal Job Postings

Hi there, we are building out our internal mobility strategy and I’m exploring how we could create a Channel in Docebo that is focused on internal job opportunities. We have a Talent Acquisition job portal for internal positions, so I was thinking that we could import jobs via API and do something with skills and tagging for the job roles and that would help surface relevant roles that people are trying to grow into.I’ve poked around the API browser but I was wondering if anybody else has attempted this before and if they had any luck. Get the (cmi.core.total_time and cmi.core.session_time) via the API?

Hello,We're working on an application that calculates the time spent by learners in a course, and we're using the Docebo API for this.However, the API only gives us access to the sum of "Session Time" and "Training Material Time", which does not reflect the actual time spent by learners in the SCORM object.Is there a way of accessing SCORM information (cmi.core.total_time and cmi.core.session_time) via the API?Thank you!

Update a learner's learning plan end date via the API

Hi there I’d love if anyone has an answer for this question below. Tried reaching out to help chat but didn’t really get a proper answer. Via the API how can we edit the LEARNER’s learning plan end date? Assume a learning plan expires after 6 months and if the user purchases a extension for another 4 months how can we streamline this to make it automatic via the APIs to update the user’s learning plan end date? I know we can manually do this via the learning plan tab in the admin portal but I am looking for an automatic way.  Would love any feedback. Thanks.
