During the weekly maintenance of November 18 (for small/medium enterprises) and November 20 (for Enterprise customers), we will update terminology used in the platform in order to improve clarity and ensure consistency across the user interface, knowledge base, and Docebo.com product pages. We are in the process of working through a standardized taxonomy project across the company across all functions and product areas.
Here’s what you can expect:
Comprehensive terminology updates
The last maintenance release in November (week of November 18, 2024) will include terminology updates both in the platform and in the knowledge base.
Report text updates in English and all translations
For those using the new custom reports, the texts under the “report” module including the following keywords will be updated:
Current | New |
---|---|
LMS | platform |
course name | course title |
learning plan name | learning plan title |
terms & conditions | terms and conditions |
Note: The update will be applied to translations only (English and all the other languages), while the keys used in the code are left unchanged. Updates can be seen in the Localization tool.
Report text updates in specific languages
The texts under the “report” module including the following keywords will be updated:
- ILT (Instructor-Led Training): in French, German and Italian
- answer’s likes/answer’s dislikes: in French
- test (training material name): in Spanish
- assignment (training material name): in Italian
- tab: in Italian
- authoring: in German
- survey: in German
- tutor: in German
Note: If you are using the reports to feed downstream systems and those systems expect an exact field name but encounter a different one, this could disrupt or cause issues in the ingestion process. Please refer to the two downloadable lists provided in the September 30 Product updates.
Name change for the “subscription codes” app
The app name will be changed to “enrollment codes”
Updates to Arabic translations
With the September 4 maintenance, we are releasing some improvements to the Arabic language. The following terminology will be impacted:
- learner
- status names: in progress, completed, expired
- sorting order: A-Z, Z-A to use Arabic characters instead of English ones
For the cases where these keywords are used for reports, the same enhancements will be implemented in three months, with the last release of November (on November 18/20, 2024), so we give you the time you need to adjust the integrations you have in place for your reports.
All these updates are designed to make it easier for you to navigate our products, ensuring a more seamless and user-friendly experience.
We appreciate your understanding and continued support as we strive to improve our products.
