So we finally got the new “datalake” update for the reporting area - or as it was explained to only be an update for the reporting area to increase refresh time. Great - much needed:

HOWEVER, now there is a new message in Power User Mgmt when working on a Power User account:

Notice on Visibility
The visibility of Power Users over resources follows the refresh latency of the other data, and is not reflected in real time. Instead, the reflected data will be the one obtained after the last data refresh.

Asked support chat because I just couldn’t believe it - but now this new “refresh” sync has been added to the power user area.

So, lets say Power User A reaches out for visibility on a new course or learning plan. You assign it, but it now takes UP TO AN HOUR for the power user to see it rather than instantly before this update.

Who could have possibly thought this was a good idea??? Why wasn’t this datalake update contained to just the reporting area?

hi @JZenker ,

and tnx for sharing.

the content of the information banner is unclear: the note refers exclusively to the visibility of the power user with regard to reports, and not to overall visibility....

we are going to rephrase it with a more direct message:

The visibility of Power Users over resources data follows the refresh latency of the other data and is not reflected in real time. If Power Users have new resources assigned, they will not be able to immediately perform report extractions for them until the next data refresh despite having full visibility and operability on the resources.
