Dear Community,

We tried to upload a mp4 video file of length 6:50 and the file size is 268 MB. When we uploaded the training material into a course, it plays only for 3:20 and the remaining part of the video is not uploaded. When I tried again, it worked fine, but still some of the power users in the system are facing this issue. Does anyone know how to resolve this issue.

@gdhanraj1985 Hello

This sounds like it is an video buffering problem. There are several things that you can try to improve.

  1. Make sure that you have a fast, reliable internet connection. This is probably the biggest part.
  2. Use a video streaming service such as Vimeo or YouTube. Use an EMBED code to add it to a course that you create in Articulate, Captivate, etc.
  3. If your video has photography, or graphics, make sure that they are in the most compressed file format available before they are added into the video file.
  4. Make sure that you are encoding your video with h.264/h.265 in an .mp4 container, and that your audio is encoded not more than CD quality.

Hopefully others will be able to add to this list, but these are the things that I’ve learned over the years.
