Hi Community,

I will be hosting an internal event next week, it will be ILT delivered in person but it will be also recorded (have some camera setup to record the speaker) and wondering if there is an option to set up in person ILT with an option to upload recording, as there is option form online ILTs.

Did any of you had already a similar situation?

Thank you in advance for any tips.

I think you have two basic choices with some variations.

  1. Set up the regular ILT with the in-person session(s).  Upload the recording as training material.  It will be available (if desired) for anyone who registered for the in-person session, whether they attended or not.  You could optionally create a future “session” (even with a very long duration) that would have completion based on the video/training material instead of attendance.  This could be helpful if you wanted to have only one set of records.
  2. Set up the ILT normally.  Set up a separate eLearning course with the video.  The advantage is that there is no date-bound session to worry about for the video learners. If using ecommerce, you could charge two different prices if you wanted. You end up with two sets of records, but some people would prefer to keep them separate.

Hi @ckujawski your event can also be configured to be both venue-based and virtual...once the virtual session ends, the admin should have the ability to upload the recored session.
