Hi Everyone!

we are using “Docebo Pro - Study Tracker” to prepare us for the certification exam but we have doubts about the meaning of some questions.

For example, in the Report section, there are these questions that seem vague to us:

  • Know how to find important information in reports
  • Identify what data gets included in reports

Could you please help us clarify their meaning?

thanks a lot for any answer!

Have a nice day

Violetta

Hi @violetta.maggioni

It’s a good question, and you’re right that we left this topic deliberately general.

What we’re looking for here is a basic understanding of the major Custom Report types (like User-Courses, Courses-Users, Users-Badges, Certifications-Users, Assets-Statistics, E-Commerce-Transactions, etc.), what information each report type surfaces, and how you could use them to surface key information you need to track learning results.

For example:

-What report would you select if you wanted to get data on which Discover, Coach and Share assets had the most views? (Answer: Assets-Statistics).

-Which fields are options to include in an Assets-Statistics report for Discover, Coach and Share? (Answer: details like Channel, Best Answers, Total Views, Invited People, Published By, etc. could be included; this report wouldn’t include details about Courses, Users, Group/Branch information, Tests, etc.).
-What’s the best way to configure a report that identifies which Discover, Coach and Share assets posted this past month have a Best Answer marked?
(Answer: Assets-Statistics Report, include Best Answer field, filter by date over the past month/30 days).

I wouldn’t overcomplicate your approach to prepping for these questions. There aren’t “gotcha” questions. Probably the best ways to prepare for them are getting to understand the syntax of report names (for example, the First Word-Second Word format tells you something about what you’ll find in that report - the first word is typically the central focus of the report, and the second is how it’s being broken down), and walking through the custom report types in your platform -- each has a description just below it, and by starting to configure one, you’ll get familiar with what kinds of fields and filters you can and can’t include).

Hope that’s helpful! Happy studying!
