Epic EHR & Docebo Flow

Hello Docebo Community,

We are about a year away from implementing a new Electronic Health Record called Epic for a system of Community Health Centers.  We are exploring the idea of using Flow with Epic. We are a few weeks away from meeting with the Epic learning implementation team about the possibility of the Epic/Flow interoperability.

Do any of you have knowledge of or experience with using Docebo Flow in Epic (or any EHR, like NextGen or Cerner). If so, I would love to chat!

Many thanks!
Aaron

Hi Aaron,

I can’t be of much help but wanted to throw it out there that we are also looking at using Flow in a EHR. We had a quick demo of Flow but can’t move forward yet. We currently have our own EHR but may switch to another in the not too distant future so we are awaiting that decision. I think the first thing to look into is if Epic (or whatever EHR you plan to use Flow with) will allow ‘HTML Java Injection’. This can be a security issue so I’m not 100% sure it would be allowed by any EHR so that is definitely the first hurdle.

I’m curious what you find out. Let’s keep the conversation going.

Best,

Aimee

Hi Aimee,

Sorry for the delay in replying.  I really appreciate you sharing your experience so far.  We also had a demo of Flow and our Customer Success Manager (who is also Aimee, same spelling 😅) who mentioned the need for the EHR to allow javascript injection.  Our Director is visiting Epic HQ in a few weeks and I’m hoping we’ll soon start making official contacts with the Epic folks.

Part of my is guessing that Epic won’t allow it due to security questions...although, the other part of me thinks that Epic is so huge in the EHR world, maybe they have solutions that will allow for the JS injection.

For now we’re keeping our fingers crossed. We will keep you posted!

Aaron

Hi - I am curious what the outcome was @hp.acloward.

I am going to start a conversation with you via DM. I am curious about how you all are considering working around something.
