Question

Do you remove deactivated users from branches / groups / LP's ?

When you deactivate users, do you unenroll / remove them from:
- Branches
- Groups
- Learning Plans ?

Our automation enrolls users in courses based on the user's branch / group / learning plan.

We don't want the automation to enroll deactivated users and are trying to figure out how this can be avoided.

Thank you!

We don’t remove users so we can maintain usage history.  We deactivate their accounts and put an expiry date in too so we know when they were deactivated.

We created sub-branches to move the deactivated user to as well (XYZ Archive - where XYZ changes based upon the root branch), and we do not have any enrollment rules on those sub-branches.

And, this is all done manually - so not sure if that is a viable solution for you, but it works for us.

by default, enrolment rules will no un-enroll users regardless of their status.

If you wish to maintain the user leaning history, you will need to maintain the enrolment. You can arhive the enrolment to it will be removed from the admin enrolment page and however the records will remain in place for the user should you need to report on them in the future.
