Is there a way to have a widget image that goes at the top of each page - homepage, catalog pages, course pages that can be used to notify staff that notifications are off/system administration is being done? I don’t want it on just the homepage, because often people are using enrollment links and going straight to the course page.

When I need to do bulk attendance, I’d like to be able to plan for system administration to take place during a certain time and somehow notify staff if they’re in the platform. I am not very good at backend coding CSS, HTML, etc.

Thanks!

@zoe.johannsen Hi, Zoe.  I’ve wished the same myself from time to time in the past 4 years, but I’ve found I can do pretty major works (like moving accounts between branches) or retiring courses, etc. with minimal impact to the users. In other words, when I’ve taken on these massive (sometimes 20K+ users), I’ve not gotten complaints from ‘the field’. Of course, that doesn’t tell me that Docebo “fails gracefully” if someone suddenly finds a course unavailable, but at least I don’t seem to be turning anyone’s hair on fire 😁.

The only scenario that I really wish I had an “under construction” page is for when I have to do work on domain-level issues, such as SSL, SSO, SAML 2.0, etc. (We have an extended enterprise platform). When working on these issues, I typically try to schedule my time to be when I know most of my users aren’t logged in. Your AM can help you get some idea of when that might be for your platform.

quickest and most direct way its to use the same widget on all your pages...
