Reporting feature request, or does this exist?

I find myself having to run basically the same report over and over with different courses or groups of courses. Is there a way to save a custom report so that it can be easily rerun with only having to select courses, carrying the same parameters over? If not, there should be! This would simplify our process a lot and allow for people less familiar with the platform to run a premade custom report.

Hi @mshumway for sure, you can create multiples of the same report and save each one as long as the report name is different; so you might want to add the course name or something to identify what the report is about. Hope that helps.

@mshumway - there are alot of ways to slice what you are asking through.

  • There is a custom reports builder that can run for you on a frequency that works for you.
  • A strategy that some folk do is “dump / then dive”. Do a large report out (dump) on an x basis, and then dive at your data with your favorite visualization tool
    • If you are going to do this? You may want to send along a clean user file - groups can have nuances to them that do not apply anywhere else but inside of your learn instance.
  • And without a doubt? You can do what @lrnlab suggested.
