Can we hide or remove the Add Recording button from the ILT view?

For our ILTs, they are often multiday events and we do not add the recordings to the ILT course after the live session is complete.  Is there a way to hide or disable the Add Recording button for the whole platfo

rm or for individual courses?  Can this be done through the Admin menu or CSS? Or any way?

you could surely find a way using CSS…

Why do you want to hide this? It is not visible to users, just instructors and admins. Seems pretty innocuous.

That was my understanding as well, only admins can see that button. We’ve stopped using it anyway since we discovered that videos posted that way aren’t searchable by our users, so we now add recordings to the Content tab instead.

Thank you.  Good point.  The Button only displays for the Admin and instructors which is fine. 

 

It is this message about “Recordings are not available yet.” that we want to hide from users because we are getting calls on when it will be available but we don’t users to have a false impression that we will be posting the recording .  Is there a place we can edit this to take out the reference to recordings?

Not a bad way to go…

you could also add them to Channels if you have Coach & Share

I believe this appears only when you elect the option that says a user can watch the recorded session for credit. You might try only turning that on when the recording is ready so users wont see this until it is available..?? not ideal but it could help a little.

@Sdinnoce you know, I haven’t looked enough at the user side of our ILTs to have noticed that. No one has said anything to us as of yet, but I’ll have to look and see if ours says the same thing. Maybe in the Localization tool you could see if that’s listed there? If so you should be able to change the wording.
