Unload event depreciation in Chrome Q1 2025

It has come to our attention that Google will be fully depreciating the ‘unload’ event in Chrome by Q1 2025. Details here: https://developer.chrome.com/docs/web-platform/deprecating-unload

Our SCORM courses are published in TechSmith Camtasia and rely on this event to effectively track completion of courses in Docebo. It seems some companies have anticipated this change and have applied a fix to prevent issues: https://rusticisoftware.com/blog/scorm-and-aicc-courses-break-from-chrome-80/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=natural_search.

If a similar change hasn’t been applied in our Docebo LMS, we will likely need to republish and reupload hundreds of eLearning courses (nightmare scenario!).

Does anyone have more insight into this issue, are you facing similar problems, or is this the first you’ve heard of this? Would be great to understand the scope of impact of this change and how Docebo is supporting customers to prevent issues.
