We have some courses that run year-round where new sessions are added on a weekly or monthly bases. We currently have the ‘Detailed Changed for a Session’ notification turned on as we occasionally have to move a course room and are trying to automate those notifications when they occur.
My question is: Is there a way to segment the notifications between users who have already passed the course?
I haven’t seen one, but an issue we are running into is people who have taken & passed a course get notifications that ‘detailed have changed’ for future courses. We’d like to keep them enrolled so they can continue to review the materials and resources.
Other than turning this notification off, has anyone run into this issue or found a work around?
Only solution I could think of would be to add groups based on ‘course not completed’ and ‘course completed’ then try and segment the notifications based on those groups instead of a wider range of users.
So ‘details changed’ would be active for the ‘course not completed’ group then once the course was completed, they would be automatically enrolled in the ‘course completed’ group and not have the ‘detailed changed’ turned on.
