Question

Power Users Create Their Own Courses?

We have several stores who would like to join our Docebo. They will only join if they can use their own content. With new stores, we add them as Power Users because we can’t have hundreds of SuperAdmins. We know that they can upload their own content in the central repository but it seems that they can’t create their own courses with that content. Is there a way that this could be done?

Yes, this can certainly be done. Simply create a profile to provide them with the permissions needed for e-learning. Some I would advise to have available to a Power User who is creating content would include:

  • Can view, duplicate, edit, manage training materials, delete eveluate, and manage thumbnails in assigned courses
  • Can create new courses
  • Can create and edit learning plans
  • Can view the training materials included in the folders and subfolders (if any) assigned to them as resources as well as their preview
  • Can create training materials in the folders and subfolders (if any) of the Central Repository assigned to them as resources
  • Can create subfolders within the folders assigned to them as resources

Possibly I would also add:

  • Can view all of the assigned users
  • Can view all of the assigned groups
  • Can create groups
  • Can edit all assigned groups

I personally created different prower user profiles to meet different organizational needs rather than doing a one size fits all power users. User seeking access to different permissions need to finish a training focused on supporting the functional content related to permissions in that profile to be granted access.

Let me know if you have any questions!
