Question

Promoting/marketing a new LMS to the firm

Userlevel 2

We’ve been using our LMS for about a year for mandatory and highly suggested training (pushed content). We are now moving to leverage the LMS as an on demand learning tool as well. We are putting together a marketing plan to raise awareness and drive traffic. Has anyone else gone through a similar promotion and found any approach or specific task/event/communication effective in increasing usage?

Hi @sbessen,

Below are a few of the things we do to drive internal engagement onto the platform:

  • Showcases in team/department meetings
  • Any firmwide events are hosted via Docebo.  For example our ‘wellbeing week’ will have all sessions on the LMS for people to enrol onto.
  • Constant and consistent messaging around the use of the platform.  “Find on-demand resources to assist you at the point of need”.
  • Ensure people are being diverted to the platform for ‘how do i?’ queries, where they can get the information for themselves.
  • Really sell the benefits of on-demand learning.  Don’t have to take time out of their busy day - they can learn at a time that suits them best, not when we want them to.

Might help / might not, but good luck!

Thanks Neil. How are you measuring success of the efforts? Are you just looking at user-course reports? I’d love to get reports of visits, visitors, stickiness, search attempts, etc.

We use Google Analytics to look at visits, page views, search terms etc.  Reports only tell half the story 😀

This is a good article to set up search queries, but also has the link to setting up GA in there too.  Hope that helps!
