Is there a way to allow a user, within a course, to upload a PDF certificate as part of the completion of the course?

If you create an Assignment type of Training Material, it will give you a dropbox for the learner to submit things.

But once the item is uploaded, it will still show “Waiting for Evaluation.” (In our tests, this was the case even when selecting the option to allow the user to continue without evaluation.)

How would you do this if you have a user upload something, but want it to be immediately marked as “complete” without involving an evaluator or instructor?

Hi @shaye.milson,

One possible, albeit inelegant, way to do this would be to use a Test type Training Material. You could create your “test” with one question of the Upload File type. Then add your instructions in the Description field.

When your learner accesses the “test,” they will be able to upload the required file. The system will show a “Waiting for score” message, but the learner should see that the test object is marked complete. As an admin, you can go to the Reports → User Statistics section of the course (and select the specific user) if you want to add a score, but for the sake of the learner’s progress to the rest of the course, or to other courses, that “test” section should be considered complete.

I hope this helps.
