Why are the old reports coming out with apostrophes next to the cell entries?

 

its causing me more work!

Ah, I thought it was just me.  Will be glad to know why.

That’s weird - you can filter those quickly as they are a way of escaping the value in a cell. Older reporting tools must not be getting the attention necessary to keep the escaping accurate.

Here is a fix that you can apply in one swoop - “reimport” the data in the table by selection your columns/rows and then using the Text to Columns feature that is part of Data Tools in Excel. The image below is one of the toolbar in excel 365. You will be given the prompt about the information being delimited...and you can tell excel to ignore the ‘s.

Thanks for the suggestion - but that was the very thing causing me more work as currently I'm having to download a number of reports.   I'd rather not have to spend extra time using the text to column feature.
