Hi everyone,

I’m almost certain the problem I have must be solved by creating two ILT courses, but I was wanting to check if it is possible to have an ILT course with more than one Zoom webinar sessions (say 1 event per session) and allow learners to enrol in more than one of the sessions?

I cannot see a way for this to occur.

In my problem I am trying to solve I have 8 different sessions, and learners will typically enrol in one, but some of them will need to enrol in more than one. As a learner in my tests, you can swap sessions, but not enrol in more than one without a Tutor/Instructor doing it for them. This is not possible in my case with 1000s of people involved.

If someone can confirm my theory, thanks. Even better, can I make this work somehow within one course?

Hi

Yes that is our experience also. You can create sessions with multiple events, but the user enrolls at the session level so doesn’t get to choose different events. This is fine for course that has a set of defined dates and times across a few weeks but still only allows the delegate to select one event (or one session).

We have had to create a Learning plan and create multiple courses to allow users to book on to multiple sessions across a number of weeks.

Hope that helps.

@jckemv

Agree with @Richard.Harknett’s solution for self-enrollment, which I believe is what you’re looking for.

If you’re looking for the admin to be able to enroll users in multiple classes of the same course, this is possible by creating a course, with each class as a session, and each session with one single event.

Note that this will not allow a user to self-enroll in more than one session, but I wanted to let you know of the possibility from an admin’s perspective, in case that could be applicable to your use case.

Hi all, please vote on this idea to get this in the planning stages:

  • LMS-I-3754 - Allow learners to enroll in multiple sessions - it’s currently set to “likely to implement”

@jenniedinh @jckemv Hello,

So if a learner attends a course that is related to one session how can they retake the course without the admin having to do it?  For example, if we offer the same monthly course and the learner wants to attend it two or three times out of the year, how is that possible? In our experience, the learner cannot enroll in future sessions once the course has been completed. Thoughts?

is this still the case?  I have created a manager clinic course which has different topics each month.  so managers will want to book onto more than one session depending on that months topic.  Do we really have to create a brand new course shell for each month to allow people to book on more than one session?

This seems a big flaw which I hope docebo fixes soon.

@KTJD This is still the case. Our Product team has recognized the need for the functionality you’re describing and this is on our roadmap. There is no timeline however our team is actively working on scoping it out. Be sure to upvote this idea and share your use case in the comments. I would also recommend discussing this with your Account Manager so they’re aware (if you haven’t already).

I’ve done a bit of a workaround before for this where I embed a form of the available dates in a separate enrollment page and on submission it triggers an api enrollment request which overrides the one session enrollment. For the specific setup it was actually simpler for the user anyways since they were on a different page with information already anyways so was essentially embedding a one field drop down of selection dates. Would be great for this to come through in the product though.

Hi everyone,

Have there been any development or updates in this area? We also have a similar issue across multiple trainings which we would like to run as a series so it would be great to have an idea of future solutions and timelines.

Hi everyone,

@jenniedinh Unfortunately, we face the the issue. Is this still on the roadmap or will it be implemented soon?

The problem for us is that we have that on a weekly basis and it seems a bit inconvenient to create a new ILT for each week (also for the learner). I tried to create an ILT for each month and create one session per week. As a learner it shows perfectly fine, but you can only enroll for one event. If it worked like this, it would be a great feature.

@catrinel.vasile have a look at the solution proposed by “Richard.Harknett” that’s not bad at all ;)
