Hi folks, is it possible to find a list of users that have shared their badge via socials?

I’ve checked and there is not a notification or audit trail event for that action, as far as I can tell.

I’m keen to find out how many people have been sharing a digital badge with their socials hence the question.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

JK

Hi @jckemv I took a peek at the APIs but don’t see anything in there for this type of tracking and native reporting doesn’t have that available either. In the share dropdown menu the social media links are javascript and result in a pop up dialogue box which I don’t think there’s a way to track.

Hi @jckemv , as far as I can tell, Docebo’s API does not support endpoints to detect this. This feature is purely learner-side and Docebo does not track outbound sharing actions. You could explore disabling the Share option and instead create trackable credential URLs that include UTM parameters so you can measure clicks. For example, LinkedIn allows you to create a special URL to pre-populate the Certifications Form with their LMS data for the “Licenses and Certifications” section of the user’s profile, and you may be able to append UTM parameters to this.

Thanks folks for your confirmation of my suspicion. I’ve just thought I used Google Analytics and it does report on the URL for the pages created for the badges, so I can sort of see back the other way when people click on the digital badge in LinkedIn etc.. back to the LMS. Thanks again for your replies.
