Notifications for Learning plans for non-locked courses

I don’t believe so, Enrollment into LP pushes enrollment to all courses, notification config doesn’t have options to exclude locked courses.  

It can be done but it takes a lot of set up and may not be viable if you have a lot of variables. The way to do it is through groups using ‘user enrolment status’ - there you can specify specific courses for which the status is ‘enrolled’ or ‘in progress’ and leave off the locked ones. You can use ‘and’ if you want it to trigger based on multiple courses not being completed or you can use ‘or’ if if is any of a specific number of courses. 

You can also build another group where the prerequisite courses are ‘completed’ but the previously locked ones are not. That way you know when you send that notification the courses are not locked anymore. 

The notification you’ll use is ‘user enrolled in a group’ and select to send to manager. Unfortunately using this method prevents you from listing the exact courses that are incomplete (unless you send one notification per course in which case you can hard code it into the message). 

Hope that makes sense. The groups are really powerful. You can also combine with other fields to narrow on specific departments, branches etc.

There is an option to send along notification only on expired enrollments instead of all non-complete courses. You would use the admin one….this image is taken from user one...I hope that makes sense….

Two minutes later….(think spongebob) - I am sorry - it looks like the admin digest doesnt support exactly that….
