Hello I want to know what you guys are usign to manage surveys and reports outside of docebo.

I want to use a training material (scorm? xAPi?,) to create surveys and track the reports outiside of docebo because i find the reports section a little bit unconventional. Right now its hard to track my surveys because I use the same for differents courses and instructor. I want to be able to track them for each courses, each instructor and analyse this data.

Thanks for sharing

We used to use Qualtrics for our course surveys but having data in separate sources was not ideal so now just use surveys built in Docebo and pushed from the CLOR. Just added Learning Impact but haven’t explored its value/use yet. Have you looked into that?

Like @mark - we use an external tool called Jotform for generating our surveys. It has a monster reporting engine.

If you want to think of an alternative and use a SCORM course for a survey? Consider a tool like EasyGenerator. It uses xAPI and keeps a gradebook available to you of all question/responses pairs. Even better if it is not for you? And you need to share the gradebook with someone else? You can do that and not compromise your “course security”.

@maricela.jimenez - can you tell me a little more about this approach? What a clever approach!!!

Good afternoon.  We export the survey data from the course (not the system reporting), flatten it and then import into an external Access database (any dB would work).  We include class identifiers to the raw data (we assign a Group ID to each class and all associated courses including the survey) connect it with each class, and use that to load additional information to the dataset during the import process that  is not included in the export file.

This final data source is used in our Power BI visualizations to present the results in an easy to view format by class, agenda, facilitator etc.  We can also generate ad hoc reports directly from the database as needed.

Following this thread for any suggestion. I too reported the difficulty of getting the required output of the survey reporting since we started using 4 years before and still it is under discussion :(

Hi Julian,

Creating a survey as a SCORM or xAPI package works well, by sending the answers directly to a Google Sheet in addition to storing them in Docebo.

In Articulate Storyline, this can be achieved by adding some custom JavaScript to facilitate the connection with your Google Sheet, or by using the Google Sheet eLearning widget from Cluelabs (which should also work with Adobe Captivate). You can check it out here: Google Sheets eLearning Widget.

If you’re using Lectora, there are out-of-the-box options to connect directly with a Google Sheet.

Another option is to request Docebo to create a Query Builder report that lists all the responses by learner per survey, which might simplify tracking across different courses and instructors.

Feel free to reach out if you need any help with this!

Best regards,
Jan

We are using the Survey tool in Docebo but exporting the data from the surveys to Power BI, which gives us a much more dynamic view of the data and quicker access.

Hi Jan, could you provide more details about how you went about Docebo creating a Query Builder for you?

Hi JZenker,

Please reach out to your CSM on the query builder report options. This is something the Docebo team will need to setup for you.

Best,
Jan
