I’m facing an issue with a vILT session setup in my Docebo platform. The session has a maximum enrollment limit of 5 students, and all slots are fully occupied. I’m also the instructor for this session.

However, despite being the assigned instructor, I’m unable to view the session in my list of sessions. It seems to be completely hidden from my view.

Has anyone faced a similar issue, or is there a specific configuration I might be missing to ensure instructors can see their assigned sessions, even when they’re fully enrolled?

Which view are you looking at, from with a course or in course management? Assuming you are a power user looking under course management » under the sessions tab. 

The things that immediately come to mind are: 

  • Make sure you don’t have a filter set (clear all the filters: Top left, upside down pyramid thing under properties) 
  • Make sure it isn’t on another page, by default I think it only shows 10 or 15 courses
  • Check to see if you are a Session instructor and not the instructor for an event within the session.

Did you enroll yourself in the course? When you add an instructor, it doesn’t automatically enroll them in the course. Hope this is helpful!

 


You are able to get to the course details screen though? We had a similar situation and the instructor couldn’t view the course as a whole because they didn’t have access to the catalog the course was in.


The lack of a valid or seperate instructo view is something we have been asking for and complaining about not having since we onboarded with Docebo. It seems like there is an instructor flag that appears on course images in my courses and learning plans, but it changes to in progress if you view the materials in a course, because once you view it you are enrolled in addition to being the instructor. GRRRRRRRR. 

It should not be this hard for instructors to see and find their classes.

@kudlogpoint - I too faced this issue and learnt from the Docebo KB article that by assigning an instructor to course/session doesn't automatically enroll them to courses. They need to be enrolled to be able to view the instructor related tasks. Please refer to the below KB for more details.
