I suddenly now have to choose either zoom meeting OR zoom webinar when setting up a zoom integration.  Anyone know which one I’m supposed to select?  What’s the difference?

Second the above, Webinars are for something like an All-Hands where people are really just there to listen and maybe chat to a Q&A. Meetings are for participation, on camera, open chat, team meetings, ILT’s.

Hello @maryanneharrison ,

If you want participants to be able to chat on camera and participate, choose meeting.

I produce at least 2 Zoom webinars weekly. This week I have 7 scheduled.

They are great for all hands meetings.

I also use them for sessions that are more like briefings where the speakers want to keep the spotlight on them, and/or we don’t want participants chiming in randomly on audio.

While I could accomplish this in regular Zoom sessions, I find that webinars are easier to set up and run.

I currently have two Zoom webinar series running:

  1. Harassment policies overview
  2. Union relations

In the first one I am running the slides, the Q&A queue, polls, and handling tech problems. The presenters focus on presenting the slides and answering the Q&A questions.

In the second one, I’m totally behind the scenes. The presenter is a lawyer who shares their own slides on screen. One or two executives are on the call to provide additional comments

Keep in mind that Zoom webinar host seats can be an expensive upgrade on top of your organization’s Zoom license. We only have 3 webinar seats, and I do the majority of the webinar production.
