Hello Docebo Community,

I am an L&D admin for my company and I am currently exploring ways to setup Docebo user tracking (ideally Docebo user id) within Google Analytics 4 (GA4). Our aim is to leverage GA4's capabilities to gain deeper insights into user interactions on the platform. I would appreciate any guidance or insights on the following:

  1. Feasibility and Success Stories:
    • Is it possible to effectively track Docebo user interactions using GA4?
    • Have any community members successfully implemented this tracking? If so, could you share your experiences or any success stories?
  2. Integration Steps and Requirements:
    • What are the necessary steps to configure GA4 for tracking Docebo users?
    • Are there specific settings or prerequisites within Docebo or GA4 that we need to be aware of?
  3. Challenges and Considerations:
    • What challenges have you encountered during the integration process?
    • Are there best practices or tips for ensuring accurate and comprehensive user tracking?
  4. Resources and Support:
    • Are there any resources, guides, or support channels you would recommend for implementing this integration?

I'm eager to learn from the experiences of others and gather any advice that could help streamline our implementation process. Thank you in advance for your support and insights!

Best regards,

Yohanes

GA4 is a quick install. There’s a great article walking you through the steps - https://help.docebo.com/hc/en-us/articles/10969878059922-Docebo-for-Google-Analytics-4

Google Analytics won’t show you “did Bob the employee take XYZ”. It’s going to aggregate that data, but you can still make some really great insights with their reports. We connected ours to PWBI and used it as a general layer for page engagement and link tracking.

My biggest complaint at the moment is I still can’t integrate GTM, which is a separate google tool but very important for several campaign tracking reasons, one of which includes customized cookie management.

You may also want to view Insights, which is in the platform

This sounds great, would love to see an example of this if you’re able to share? We’re exploring PBI capabilities with Docebo at the moment, and would love to see your use case if willing!
