A couple of months ago, we noticed that when we manually updated the first and last name fields for users with SSO/SAML credentials in the LMS, those changes were overwritten—reverting back to the names assigned by the IT department at the source.
Docebo previously confirmed that the user profile pulls the first and last name directly from Outlook. Unless the name is updated at the source, any changes made in Docebo will automatically revert at the user's next SSO login.
Since the IT department has indicated they will continue using generic names like “The NOW Location” for new account creation, we’re hoping there may be a way to adjust the integration settings to prevent this overwrite. Accurate names are important for Training, especially for communication, tracking completion, and monitoring turnover.
