Howdy folks - checking if yawl work with any set of localization tools and what you think of them.

We found what we believe is a reasonable match for our workflows.

But I wanted to check if you had any favorite “flavor” in this domain OR advice.

The one big concern I have is how to practically go about doing QA / QC for a product output when we are a global shop with 4 additional languages that we need to work through.

@dklinger (like the new pic)

We tried being a global shop and having readily accessible language speakers was always a real challenge. We tried using AI tools. We used Maestra https://app.maestra.ai/login followed up by native speakers review. Very time consuming when the native speaker is not the same person as your IDD.

The other big challenge we faced was consistency in the vocabulary… translating the same term the same way always. A dictionary is a great start, but making sure the AI/native speakers/IDDs are all sync’d is very challenging.

We supported 4 languages with potential for another 3 or 4.

In the end, our training team/LMS teams were told that we would NOT be a global group. We’ve have set the local business units (in country) to develop their own training/content skills. Content is now getting written by native speakers. We do still support them with the LMS (thank you Docebo for your wonderful localization features!), so I still get to search for “that course on XYZ” for Spanish-, Portuguese-, Polish-, or Italian-speaking IDDs without knowing any of these languages. 😂
