Hi all,

Is there a way for Power Users to create custom venues for events?
I know they can select Custom Tool for VILT, but I’m not sure if they can add Venues  for ILT events “as needed”.
Do I need to give them permissions to create new locations in the system? :/

Thanks for your help!

If you are asking about Classrooms, unfortunately PU cannot create new classrooms; they can only view or edit existing ones. The custom tool option is only for VILT and can only contain a valid URL, not text.

Yes, that’s what I meant :) Thank you!
They are hosting events for customers, and they have new venues that they need to add to Docebo every week.
I might create an automated process for them to add values to a spreadsheet, and we’ll run an API call/Bot every X hours to create those locations in Docebo.

We ran into the same issue so we added a classroom with no location, with the text something along lines of "please see description for location "  and the person creating the events for the sessions can add this location /venue info manually to the event description.

We didn't want to run into an issue where we'd have 100s of "classrooms" which were used once.

Thank you! That’s a nice option!
What about notifications? It means that the real location is not included in notifications, right?

Good shout, indeed we have notifications, but generally the location information isn’t shared there as some people don’t read emails. We have a Google Calendar Integration so event info is all in the Google Calendar Invite.
