Hello! I’d like to get some perspective from the community. Currently, we require users to complete three ILTs during their technical onboarding.
- Learning Plan 1 - The Basics:
- eLearning 1
- eLearning 2
- eLearning 3
- ILT/Session 1
- ILT/Session 2
- Learning Plan 2 - Advanced: (users must complete session 1 and 2 to unlock)
- ILT/Session 3
The challenge is that users cannot register for session 3 before completing session 1 and session 2. Because of this restriction, there is an inevitable gap between when users complete session 1 and 2 and when they can register and complete session 3. Users want to be able to register for all 3 at the same time. At a glance, the solution might be to just put session 3 in the first learning plan, but we encountered challenges were users were enrolling into the sessions out of order. And yes, this does happen between session 1 and 2 as well, which requires admin intervention.
It’s important to note that these are recurring ILTs/Sessions. We continuously add new sessions to each ILT throughout the year.
Is there a more efficient way to manage this? The ideal logic we need is to be able to allow registration to all ILTs, but restrict session enrollments by date. For example, if you register for ILT 1 on July 30, then you can only register ILT 2 on or after July 31. And, if you register for ILT 2 on July 31, you can only register for ILT 3 on or after Aug 1.
