I am currently having a difficult time with a course where the course material is set up like SCORM, File Download, SCORM. Currently, the learners are going through the first SCORM, clicking to download the file (usually a QRG in a PDF format) it opens a new tab and then they are not navigating back to the course thinking they have completed it. I have tried to both have the table of contents on screen and without it on screen.

Is there a way to a. Have a preview of the file so they do not have to download it right away to see what it is? b. Have it download in the same tab so they do not navigate away from the course player. c. Have a progress bar on the course player so they can see they have done 2/6 course elements of the full course?
Has anyone had similar navigation issues where they have found good solutions?

You might want to try out the Slide Converter or use the new Creator tool for the file portion. This will allow to behave more like your SCORM objects and keep the user on the same page. If the users still need to actually download the file, you can place a copy of the doc in the “file repository” widget and direct them there in the description, for example.
