We are looking to create a comprehensive training calendar that would list all available trainings for our employees. Has anyone created something like this and would be able to assist me in how to develop this on the platform?

You can use the Catalogue widget and display it as a Calendar. This will display all dates for courses the users have access to view.

@lrnlab So to be clear. If I follow the settings you have above Users will see ILT’s they can enroll in even if they are not enrolled in them?

update...YES!

LOL, YES!

Is there a way to add e learning courses without adding the SCORM to an ILT event? I want to offer limited e learning courses in conjunction with campaigns and have them visible on the calendar. I tried changing self-enrollment time period / validity dates and added the course to the calendar catalog. It didn't work.

The calendar view of the catalogue only works for ILT courses so not sure you can make that work without some heavy customization…

If you do add content to an ILT course in order to populate a calendar, users will still need to register into a session in order to to get access to to the content - so not a great experience…

If this is a short term initiative maybe look to create a static picture of the initiative indication the timeframe, etc. and have all the info your users need displayed there (you can use an image widget or built it out in the HTML widget). You can also set your course availability to match your intuitive time frame...

Hey!

Depending on your needs, I could see this in a few different ways.

  • Will each day in the calendar have a log of content or just a few lessons?
  • What purpose does the calendar serve? example: would they be assigned the training on these specific dates? or is it more of just a repository of all of your course offerings

If there is a lot of daily content, housing each day in a learning plan could be a good way to organize the individual days, then organize into catalogs for each week and finally, create a widget to house each week into.

Putting it all together, here is an example of week 1. This is very basic, but may work depending on your use case.
