Hi,
How to disable sending email notifications to the enrolled learners when updating a course or a session?
Every setting I change in the session, enrolled learners receive an email alert. And same at the course level.

Please help!

Thank you

Check your notifications. You likely have at least one I can think of, ILT Session has changed. This is kicked off anytime you click “save changes” and is not confined to any specific date or time changes only.

it’s not about removing, it;’s just the way they work. You would need to disable them all together or advise your admins to be careful when making changes, citing the potential impact when this is done. If you do need to communicate a change to users enrolled in a course, you can always use the manual “send email” option from the course enrolment page instead of the automatic notifications. Have you tried that?

Maybe there’s a confusing... I’m not asking about the custom notifications in docebo that we can create.
I’m asking about emails that are sent to the learners when I update course details and session details.
Thank you

those are sent from the Notifications app. ex: “ILT Session has changed” will be sent anytime you click save changes on the session no matter what the change.

If you go into the Admin area and then “Manage” under Notifications, you can see all notifications currently set up.  There are several different ones that may be set up for things like when a course properties change, when an ILT session is added, etc.  You can disable them if you do not want those notifications to be sent.  This is assuming that you are a Super Admin or a Power User with permissions for viewing/editing notifications.

so @lrnlab Irnlab - how can I disable the system from doing sending?
@sjennings78 these are only to notifications that I created. I didn’t find notifications regarding default notifications regarding a course and its sessions.

You would need to deactivate the notification under the Notificaitons app in the admin menu. You need to have power user or super admin access to manage notifications.

Did you mean to include a list of pic in the post above?

I’m a super admin.

I only see the regular notifications that I can create.
Not the default sent from the system.
For example: I updated the max number of session participants, and all learners got an email notifications about all session's events. Even about events that already passed their dates.

@oritk that’s what we are trying to explain. These emails are sent via the Notifications app you see on the admin page. If you open the app, you will likely see a template called “ILT session has changed”. Please disable it (deactivate) by clicking on title and going to the bottom right where it says “active” and change it to “inactive”. that will stop the emails from going out.

but the course is not listed in any of the triggers of any notification...

If no specific triggers are set and it was created by a super admin, it assumes that it will apply to all users and all courses.
