This may strike some of you as a dumb question, but I don’t care, I’ve spent too long looking for a definitive answer without finding one.

If we configure Docebo VILT for Microsoft Teams, will attendance in Docebo be synced from the actual attendance records in Microsoft Teams?

Students attending the event are tracked by the user clicking the button to launch the event in your platform. It is not tracked by them entering the teams event isolated from your platform.

Thank you, Emily.

Does that therefore mean that it doesn’t track how long they spent in the webinar? So they could launch the event, be marked as having attended, and then leave after a minute?

Hi Ian, from my understanding and experience with the platform, you are indeed correct. A way of checking this is exporting the attendance records from Teams directly and cross checking them with the data provided for attendance in your platform.

Good to know, thank you Emily. The cross-referencing is exactly the sort of double work I would hope to avoid via an integration, so this is leading me to think that the work of configuring Docebo VILT for Microsoft Teams is not worthwhile and we should consider alternative means of streamlining this.
