Duplicate ACTIVE enrolments in course reports

We have discovered multiple instances of duplicated ACTIVE enrolments in the same course showing up on reports.

The reports are filtered on ACTIVE enrolments only so these are NOT archived enrolments.

The course enrolment status for the duplicated Active enrolments is also blank for one instance which is also strange.

Obviously when I search for the user that is duplicated in the report directly on the course they are only coming up once as it is not possible to have 2 active enrolments for the same person. 

I’ve entered a support request but curious if anyone else has encountered this. It’s definitely a new one for me.

FYI - this is possible only in ILT courses where a user was an instructor in one session and a learner in another (even if the old enrolment is archived). 

 

You can avoid this on the New Reports by filtering to show only users enrolled as Learners. 

You also may need to filter this on the API if you are using an API to report data in a BI tool.

Just to clarify, this is occurring in the New Report or Insights area, not the course? I am wondering if maybe the training material was duplicated and completed by the user on 2 separate occasions… just a thought. We have not run into this issue.

Hi Emily - it is on the New Report filtered on the one specific form so duplicate active enrolments should not be possible. My ticket has gone all the way up to the development team. I’ll respond here when it is resolved.

This is still unresolved. I’m not getting any answers. I now have some users that are showing three active enrollments on a report for the same course. This is massively throwing our compliance reporting out as the number of active enrolments does not match our headcount and we are being audited. What a nightmare. 

Is anyone else experiencing this? 
It can’t just be us.
