I have been trying since last week to manually enroll groups into content. Groups will not show up though as you can see below - “There are no items available”. The Groups are showing in other areas though so I feel they are set up correctly. I have added groups manually to the additional certificates area for example. Any ideas what’s causing the enrollment issue?

Morning - there is a timing delay with automatic groups where you can land up seeing a delay with getting them to enroll. I have seen it with even manual groups, but it tends to happen less with them.

You may want to check if there are other background jobs getting stuck for you - but off hand, taking into account that delay has helped me plan out deploying with them.

There is something written up about it in group handling:

I think an overnight wait for the group to kick in or even cleaner a csv to upload an enrollment is probably the safest best.

So heres a crazy bug I think I just discovered and is what you are seeing.

I was curious so I went to a course to try and enroll a group, and the list showed as expected. I then went and checked and realized the environment I was in only had automatic groups, so I made a manual one in case it was some weirdness there. When I went back to the course to enroll groups, I got your exact image above. I went back and removed the manual group, and bam I could see all the groups again.

All that being said, you might want to open a ticket as very much seems like a bug.

Well and now I can’t recreate it and it works as expected creating and removing…..super weird.

Its all in the DOTs (Docebo-ism of things). Think like the Internet of Things (IOT), but alot less productive and helpful. But maybe it is more like TOTs (the Timing of Things) and I like tots. Alot. 🤣

Good night world.

coincidently I often have a plate of tots when taking a break from trying to figure a problem out in docebo :)

Thank you both! So it seems that creating and enrolling Groups in ILTs via Course Management is super simple. But enrolling Groups into Learning Plans under License Management is where there is an extra step I’ve learned about. I need to assign the Group to a Power User under Resources in order for it to show up. SuperAdmin are not on the Power User list though so still looking into figuring that out.

I feel like anyone who creates a Group should just automatically have access and be able to see it.
