Can rubrics be used to inform learners on how they are being evaluated, what is considered proficient/mastery in a skill or knowledge as well as a way to provide feedback to them on they performed when a learner uploads a screen recording, audio recording or any other kind of upload?

If there is not, has anyone figured out how to seamlessly use a checklist as a rubric for uploaded assignments and test items?

Thank you in advanced.

Hello Nicole,

My apologies for the delayed response here. We’re making efforts to get to excellent questions like yours much more quickly!

We’d generally use an Assignment type of training material in this case as they allow a variety of uploads and feedback from instructors as per this Knowledge Base here.

That said, I’d love to hear more about your use case and how it might not work / work really well with an assignment like the above.

I’ll add on here. I’d love the ability to add scoring criteria to an assignment with a likert scale as well as notes. The criteria would be based on Competencies or skills which could then tie to the skills module.

Example:

Scenario is to create an elevator pitch on a product

Evaluation Rubric:

Product Knowledge scale 1-5  notes:

Communication scale 1-5 notes:

Talking Speed 1-5 notes:

As an admin, I would set up the assignment with the evaluation criteria. The learner would know what is being evaluated and then can see how they performed on that assignment.

Ultimately, the scoring of these competencies could lead to skill proficiency.

Good Morning @raymiesitetracker. I couldn’t agree more that this would be a very interesting product idea. I’d encourage you to take a look at our public Skills PDG (Product Discovery Group) here:

We’re actively seeking feedback like this, and would recommend sharing this there as well.
