Informal Training Assets vs. Courses

We are beginning to transition our current member resource website that currently houses hundreds of resources such as pdfs, checklists, videos, etc. into Docebo. I am concerned about the lack of native trackability for the supervisors using the platform. From my understanding (and please correct me if I am wrong) they cannot run a report under the “My Team” portion of the platform that would include seeing what informal assets someone on their team may have viewed.

Long story short, I am trying to pro/con out if the social aspect of the informal assets through DCS outweighs the pro/cons of housing everything in courses for the trackability.

Any insight would be appreciated!

You are correct. There aren't many options when it comes to reporting on assets. The Insights tool should have something coming soon for that as it is always evolving. What do you ned to track?

Ideally, I would love if the supervisors in the platform that have subordinates that are assigned to them in Docebo could run a report through the My Teams tab to see their teams full activity. Such as downloading a pdf or opening an asset. I don’t want to have to house all of these informal assets within courses just for tracking. It seems ridiculous that there isn't a report that can easily be run by supervisors or power users to be able to see that information.

So a power user could run the Viewer - Asset details report to see Assets viewed by users. Yes it is not available to managers, but I think it would best address your needs. Full discretion though, we have had issues with misrepresentation of user views in the past week or 2 where view counts and users viewing certain assets did not…. make sense. So be wary.

But there is no way to filter that report by additional fields, correct? I couldn’t simply pull that report and sort by Company name for example right? Without being able to that, it isn’t very helpful.
