Hello šŸ˜„ - Our company is planning on launching our first VILT course. We have been hosting webinars outside of the platform for many years and we are ready to bring it to the LMS.Ā

  1. Is there a way to make a certain assignment mandatory before allowing the learner to reieve their certification? We have surveys that must be completed before a user can get their CEU, but within the course, their are additional items that they need to have access to but dont have to be completed. They are more like sudy guides and references.Ā

If anyone has anythingĀ that they would like to share? Something you learned along the way? Any tips are helpful, thank you! - DanielleĀ

If you add the survey to your course and make that the end object marker, the other learning objects will not be required to complete the course.Ā

Another option for the no-required objects is to use the widget called, File Repository.Ā You can add files and links there. These objects become optional as they are placed under the Training MaterialsĀ

Thank you for your response šŸ˜„.Ā I will test both of those options.

I have another question… When using the Zoom integration, is the learner experiencing the live courseĀ in ZoomĀ and the LMS is where they begin the course, complete training materials and house their CEUs?

Also, if someone doesnt show for the course, we give them the option to watch the video and then they are able to fill out the survey. Do you have any recommendations on the best way to set it up so that only theĀ learners who haveĀ attended or watched the video, have the ability to complete the survey, essentially the last training material?Ā

I don’t have the sandbox feature,Ā so I am testing with demo accounts. I’ve never seen one live, just going off the play button feature and Knowledge Base.Ā

Thank you again in advance for all your help! - DanielleĀ Ā Ā Ā

We use the file repository as suggested by @lrnlabĀ a significant amount now as it allows us to integrate content we add for visibility in the DCS area. I highly recommend following this method!

Ā

When using video integrations, users will be marked as attended when clicking to join the meeting. You have the option to also select that a user can be marked as attending after accessing the recording. is option can be found under each event you create the support the training sessions.

Ā

With that said, I don’t think there is a way to stop a user from accessing a training material in an ILT until after the training session. You could daisy chain the courses in a learning plan so an e-learning course with the survey unlocks after the user completed the ILT.
