Learner has yet to complete a course with ILT

Hello,

Has anyone figured out how to successfully use the “Learner has yet to complete a course” when you have both eLearning and VILT courses.

  1. We have (or had) a reminder set to trigger 7 days (and 30 days) after enrollment if the learner hasn’t completed a course
  2. We send out the list of ILT sessions at the beginning of the month allowing people time to plan to enroll and attend.
  3. This all fails for ILT courses as learners can enroll a few weeks before a session and then get the stupid notification saying they haven’t completed a course weeks before the session if even scheduled to take place.

Outside of manually adding each course to notifications any solutions?

you can create copies of the same notification and use one for only eLearning courses and another for only some ILT. I agree that using this for ILT’s needs more careful consideration to the user case you outlined above, for example, the timing as to when it is sent out could be configured so it’s sent out at 14 days rather than 7, etc.

okay - but there is no way to filtering a notification by course type (which there definitely should be)

IE Send this notification to eLearning courses only.

We do not want to manually add and remove each course to a notification.

I understand. Sadly when they updated the notification service we lost some functionality when it comes to choosing what courses are aligned to the notification. If you want to more granualarity with your notifs, you will need to maintain them manually.

You can certainly push Docebo to improve this by logging an idea or voting on one that exists (think there are a few out there) .

The notifications in Docebo are really underwhelming and as many things on this platform, missing vital functionality.  We are actively looking for a replacement.
