We use Docebo for internal company learning, and up until now have only had sales content. We are working on opening up our platform company wide and will start having all our required onboarding and training content here.
We want to provide different content for different employees (such as sales, managers, etc), but there will also be LPs all employees will be required to complete. We have been looking into channels and catalogs. However, we have run into a few roadblocks with this.
We need our content to be sequential, so we currently have enrollment rules setup with groups for our Learning Plans (we currently have around 11). But once we open to more than sales content, we want to be able to filter the Learning Plans down to only show specific content. Since all our content is currently sales, we use learning plan widgets to show the progress of LPs, but the display will eventually contain our new non-sales content we release.
We are struggling with finding a way to utilize channels or catalogs for this (or any other display option).
Channels will only display the LPs a user is enrolled in, but there is no way of a user knowing their progress since the LPs don’t have a status on them (new, in progress, complete).
Catalogs will show all LPs, but the user has no way of knowing which is supposed to be locked for them or which they have completed.
We really want to keep our locked LP program since a lot of our content will not make sense if a user skips around, so just labeling them and leaving them open isn’t a good option for us.
Has anyone been able to find a way display these LPs with a similar content concept as this?
Edit: We want to be able to display these LPs in a way that allows visibility based on content, but also visibility to revisit previously completed LPs or see which one is in-progress.
Any ideas of how to provide a good user experience with locked LPs that are filtered into separate content would be greatly appreciated!!
