Hoping someone has experienced something like this.

We utilize American Heart Association RQI courses. These courses have to be assigned perpetually or ongoing for all learners who need them. The assignment is the same name and is assigned quarterly to anyone who is done the previous quarter. Anyone have a similiar situation and if so, how do you make this work?

Thank you - Jodi

Hi Jodi - Just to confirm you need to assign the same course quarterly to those who have already completed it in the previous quarter?

Hello - yes, exactly! Any thoughts how I could accomplish this?

That can be very tedious. We have the same dilemma since we started with Docebo, re-assignment feature is not available, hence, requires manual work. The frequency of our courses is annually so what we did this year, we recreated the same set of courses and then re-assigned to users due for retake, regardless if they completed or not the previous assignment. Unenrolling users from the course and then re-assigning them to the same course won’t work since their completion are already tied to the enrollment. You might want to explore the Certifications & Retraining App, we did not push the use of this functionality due to some limitations… Cannot customize notifications for specific courses, needs learners' initiative to renew their certifications so they can retake the course assigned in your Certification. Or maybe review your requirement if quarterly is a must, you can change to bi-annual or annually.

agree that right now the only “viable” option is to use the Certification & Retraining app...it is very basic and does not retain past history on courses so you can only rely on reports to capture previous compositions. If you use the option to allow users to retake the same course to renew their certification, this wipes out the previous completion data and resets the course so the user can take it again.

You probably want to wait for the enrolment archiving enhancement coming soon.
