Hi all.

I’m trying to remember how to give Power Users administrative rights to a certificate template. I know it’s a needlessly complex process, but I thought I knew how to do it. Either I don’t recall at all, or it’s no longer working, or it’s not working on the Sandbox. Because I went to test something on it & I cannot get a PU to see the cert they created at all.

I thought that you had to assign the cert to a course they could enroll in. then once they completed the course & received the cert, they could also access it as an administrator & assign it to other courses. But this has failed on me several times in a row.

Am I missing something or it just not working altogether?

Thanks,
Nate

By ‘course they can enrol in” do you mean a course they have access to with their PU permissions? I think that may the part you're missing...kind of like categories...

Ha, good question @lrnlab. Sorry, i was unclear.

I enrolled the user directly into the course myself, then logged in as them & completed the course & verified that the certificate was awarded.

But it still did not show up under the ‘Certificate template’ menu. I’m pretty sure this is how I had to assign the certs in the past...

Not quite...as a super admin, add the certificate to a course the PU can manage (see, edit, enrol users, etc.) It’s not to do with their profile and completed courses, rather that they have access to manage the course that had the cert attache to it...does that make sense? I know Docebo has some wonky security permissions in some parts of the LMS.

Ah, that’s what i was missing.

Thanks! (Now i have to remember what I was trying to test in the first place...)
