Pre-Selling an eLearning Course

Does anyone have any suggestions of a way to do a “pre-sale” of an eLearning course?

We are creating an in-depth training and have a lead magnet with which we want to promote a pre-sale of the course at a deep discount before it is available. I’d like to be able to just do the pre-sale in the LMS as opposed to somehow doing it outside and then manually enrolling people when it is ready.

Any ideas/work arounds?

You could expose it in the public catalogue however that would depend on how your site is set up. If you do not allow self-registration, users could still see course details but not buy it. That said, those with access could potentially purchase the course unless you do not place it for sale but only menton the cost in the description, for example. Not sure if that would work for you...
