Is there any way to add a “Question and Answer widget” on an ILT session. The Docebo help pages are contradictory.

This page says you can add a question and answer widget on an ILT course. This page says you can’t add the widget on ILT courses. I can’t add one to an ILT course so I assume the second one is correct, has anyone found a work around?

I’ve looked at the forum but the UX is awful so I don’t want to use that if possible. Has anyone tried to embed a Q&A widget using the iframe? Is it even possible?

none that I can see...the Forum widget is available on ILT courses...another idea may be to direct them to a channel or the Q&A widget on a dedicated page aligned to custom channel.

Thanks @lrnlab The question widget on the pages get a bit long if there are lots of questions and we’re anticipating lots of questions. I don’t want to block up the custom page we’ve created for the overall topic with a Q&A block from a single webinar. I’m being picky I know. I just wish the Q&A feature on normal courses worked for ILT courses as well.

I agree...if you associate the widget with a specific channel you can limit the traffic.

Have you looked at using the Forum widget in the course? It’s similar.

The forum widget has a few flaws:

  • No @mentions for the sepcific instructor required
  • UX design is not great
  • Have to click into it to ask a question; too many steps to get the required outcome

Hopefully you can find something that works for you...we use the cohort feature a lo in our channels and it works great. I get that it’s not what you need but that may be an option to consider as well.
